IndiaMART.com Provides Global Stage to SMEs

New Delhi, 15 October, 2010: Redefining the business landscape for Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), IndiaMART.com, India’s largest online B2B marketplace, has decided to associate with Asia’s reputed trade events Mega Show Part 1 and Part 2 in HongKong, China as the online media partner. Considered as the most important sourcing exhibition for gifts, housewares, home decors, fashion accessories and toy industries in the Asia-Pacific region, Mega Show Part 1 and Part 2 are scheduled to be held from 20th October to 23rd October 2010 and from 28th October- 30th October respectively at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong. IndiaMART.com seeks to represent Indian small and medium enterprises of the concerned industries with a view to provide them with an international exposure.

Commenting on the association, Mr. Dinesh Agarwal, Founder and CEO, IndiaMART.com, said, “Our aim is to bring latest trends to the doorstep of SMEs in our country and foster a culture of collaboration between buyers and suppliers through such trade forums held across geographies. The trade event Mega Show aims to bring to the fore a host of products that combine innovation, design and quality. IndiaMART.com will provide a platform for the buyers to acquaint themselves with Indian manufactured products that will include handicrafts, handmade gifts and decorations (representing the small scale industries) at stall number 3T-5 (Hall 3E South Concourse) for the first show and at stall number 5-L40 (Hall 5 G) for the second show. The visitors will be provided with IndiaMARTSourcing Guide detailing information of Indian suppliers specific to the sectors.

Since 1992, Mega Show Part 1 has offered international buyers a one-stop showcase of over 5300 well-merchandised stands displaying products from over 3800 exhibitors. Products from over 33 countries are represented at the premier trade-only exhibition, and beginning from the 2010 show, the diverse and directional merchandise will be grouped into distinct sectors, each in a specific hall location to allow an efficient use of the visitors’ time and easy navigation of the show. In addition, at the Mega Show Part 2 this year, nearly 900 Asian and international companies, presenting volume products from traditional gifts and premiums, household items and home décor products alongwith the best of Asian pen, print, paper and stationery items, will be on display.
