Dinesh Agarwal is the founder and CEO of IndiaMART.com, India’s largest online marketplace connecting Indian suppliers with domestic and international buyers.
Founded in 1996, Dinesh is credited with leading IndiaMART.com through two decades with an unblemished record of being profitable from day one – a feat no other online company in India has been able to emulate.
IndiaMART is among the world’s top ten marketplaces, and has been corroborated by a host of credible market surveys and awards. Started with a 4 member team, under Dinesh’s dynamic and visionary leadership, IndiaMART has grown to become a strong team of 3600 talented professionals with branch offices in 65+ Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across the country. Its stellar credentials, robust business model and Dinesh’s commitment towards the MSME sector has invited prestigious investors like BBCL, Amaedus Capital, Intel Capital, West Bridge and Quona Capital into its fold for further expansion plans. A vigorous advocate of Indian SMEs, he has spearheaded several path breaking ideas to promote Indian SMEs globally like the Emerging Business Forum. His contribution to Indian businesses is widely acknowledged by the industry and the media.
Prior to pursuing his entrepreneurial instincts, this Computer Engineer from HBTI, Kanpur has honed his technical skills working for industry leaders such as HCL Technologies (America), Center for Development of Telematics (C-Dot) and CMC Limited before returning to India. He has an extensive experience spanning over 20 years in the field of Internet, Networking & Systems Development and Consulting.
Co-Founder & Director
A vital part of the core management team, Brijesh has been the brain behind creation of a plethora of innovative products at IndiaMART.
Possessing a very dynamic, intriguing and exciting leadership style, he is known for steadily introducing eclectic strategies aimed towards the growth of different verticals of the organization.
Currently, Brijesh is spearheading Tolexo.com, a 100% subsidiary of IndiaMART, providing consumer shopping experience for the largest collection of products needed by businesses, factories, offices and laboratories.
Being a relationship-oriented leader, Brijesh plays a key role in aligning people, and has provided the brainwave to many professionals to excel in the their respective fields. A management graduate from the University of Lucknow and an MBA from National Institute of Integrated Learning and Management (NIILM), he is a sports lover, especially Cricket
A mastermind behind all the innovative practices at IndiaMART, Dinesh joined the organization in early 2012, and is responsible for improving the overall customer delight, people efficiency and setting the platform for long-term profitability of the organization.
Prior to joining IndiaMART, Dinesh served as the Group President at Indian Express, where he was responsible for managing the entire Operations and Revenue streams. With a vast experience of intrapreneurship spanning over 22 years, he has also worked with leading brands like Airtel, Reliance Communications and Eastman Kodak in key roles.
An MBA from FMS Delhi and a B.Tech, Dinesh’s interests include reading, travelling and trekking.
Amarinder S. Dhaliwal
Chief Product Officer
Amarinder holds more than 20 years of extensive experience in Digital & Technology fields and has built online businesses in ecommerce, apparel, automobile etc. He has worked with leading brands like YU, Zigwheels.com and Times Group.
In his last assignment with YU, a subsidiary of Micromax, he created and launched YU as an innovative mobile brand.
Prior to that, he also had his entrepreneurial stint and was running his own venture, Done by None.
Amarinder is a Post Graduate from IIM, Ahmedabad and a Graduate from IIT, Delhi. Amarinder loves sports and is fond of trekking and adventure.
Chief Finance Officer
Prateek holds 14 years of rich experience in key domains of IPO, M&A, Business Strategy, Financial Planning, Accounting, Auditing & Managing Investor Relations in Indian & International markets.
Prior to joining IndiaMART, Prateek was the CFO of HT Media’s radio business, having end-to-end responsibility of finance and related operational aspects of the business. In his previous associations, he had played a vital role in IPO of HMVL and EXL’s listing on NASDAQ, in addition to institutionalizing the investor relations program at HT Media & EXL USA.
Prateek earned his Chartered Accountancy from KPMG and holds an undergraduate commerce degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), New Delhi.
Vice President, Product
A core member of the IndiaMART team since 1998, Abhishek has been instrumental in defining the company’s technology and product strategy. Having held a variety of leadership roles in the organization, he is currently responsible for overseeing products and activities which come under the purview of the company’s marketplace.
Under his leadership, IndiaMART launched the popular ‘Buy Leads’ model in 2012, which is one of the most celebrated practices in the organization till date. Being an important part of the evolution of the marketplace, Abhishek has also been responsible for overseeing activities like web user behaviour, audience development and retention.
Abhishek is an MBA from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. Apart from work, he is a complete foodie and loves trying out different exotic cuisines to pamper his taste-buds.
Vice President – New Product Development
With an extensive experience of 15 years, Amit is responsible for defining the new product development strategy for the organization. In his role, he oversees the operation and expansion of the online marketplace, which has significantly redefined the client’s product experience at IndiaMART. In his previous role, Amit served as the Business Head – E-commerce & Strategic Alliances and successfully introduced significant initiatives including pivot of online shopping business from inventory led model to largely inventory independent model.
A constant learner, Amit pursued a Senior Management Executive Program in Business Strategy from IIM Calcutta, besides other certifications from ISB Hyderabad and IIM Bangalore. Beyond his life at work, Amit enjoys reading books and playing chess.
Vice President – Product & Technology
The think tank behind the search engine of IndiaMART, Devendra oversees the flagship products of the company like Directory and Catalogs. He is also actively involved in sharing his technical expertise on Web Infrastructure, SEO, Mobile Website, Page Speed optimizations and A/B testing with other departments. Prior to this, Devendra worked with Monster India, where he played a key role in building the Server farm Infrastructure for the APAC region. He has also served as the IT Head at Nirulas, monitoring and supervising their computerization activities.
Devendra pursued his B.Tech in Computer Science from JK Institute of Applied Physics, Allahabad University. He enjoys listening to music, especially instrumental music and folk songs. Fond of nature, he adores the scenic beauty of Kashmir.
National Head – HR
Madhup is leading the Human Resource function of IndiaMART, a strong team with 3500+ members. In his current role, he is spearheading the various HR initiatives to promote team engagement and learning.
Prior to this, he has been responsible for incubating the new web-based businesses for the organization. In his role, he also oversaw and directs diverse activities under hellotrade.com, hellotravel.com, and is therefore responsible for the overall growth of these businesses.
In the past, Madhup has also held the position of Director, Technology at IndiaMART where he actively contributed to the firm’s core product and helped implement several notable innovations, including world’s best B2B search and the path-breaking Pay Per Lead model for the Business.
Madhup earned his M.Tech from IIT, New Delhi and B.Tech from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur. At leisure, he likes to read and travel. Apart from this, he is a wildlife enthusiast.
Senior Vice President – Brand Solutions Group
Mudit Khosla is an avant-garde professional with a unique ability to handle cross functional roles in multi-faceted areas. He brings a vast experience of building businesses from scratch and scaling them to the top.
At present, he is framing and establishing the Brands Solutions Group at IndiaMART which is instrumental in catering to the key requirements of the Big Companies in India.
A serial entrepreneur with over 16 years of experience, Mudit is a recognized leader in establishing and building a strong foothold of e-commerce companies. He played a significant role in creating Indiatimes Shopping, one of India’s earliest e-commerce platforms. Mudit was also a part of the core founding team of Yatra.com and has served as CEO at reputed organizations like Seventymm.com and Tradus.com (ibibo Group). He has been featured in “Top 100 icons of India’s Digital Ecosystem” by Exchange4Media/ Impact Magazine.
Prior to joining IndiaMART, he gained considerable success in his self-driven venture RightClick Marketing, which owns leading online coupon websites for global e-commerce platforms.
Mudit earned his MBA from the University of Mumbai and BE from Nagpur University, apart from undertaking an Executive Management training from Naspers Harvard Program. He is also an active speaker at various e-commerce forums.
Sr. Vice President – Client Servicing
Parag heads the client servicing division at IndiaMART. His role involves maximizing satisfaction of an extremely vast and differentiated customer base through optimum servicing.
With a clear focus on improving monetization, Parag has been instrumental in maximising customer retention at IndiaMART. He has over 13 years of experience in the field of sales, marketing and product management and has worked with leading brands like Heinz India and HT Media Group. In his last assignment with HT Media, Parag was heading New Revenue Generation and Business Intelligence for the group.
Parag is a PGDM from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM – A) and an Electronics Engineer from IT-BHU, Varanasi. In his free time, he loves to read and describes himself as a foodie with a soft corner for anything sweet
Vice President – Finance and Accounts
With an in-depth knowledge in Financial Accounting, Revenue Assurance, Taxation and Statutory Audit, Sudhir heads the Finance and Accounts division for the organization.
He possesses a rich experience of 18 years, and has been successful in ensuring the company growth and profitability. Prior to this, Sudhir was associated with Videocon Telecommunication Limited as AVP – Finance and Accounts. He has also had significant stints with Bharti Airtel, Modi Entertainment and Zee Telefilms Ltd, where he performed multifunctional roles.
Sudhir holds a Masters Degree in Commerce and is a Chartered Account. He takes deep interest in spirituality and is an ardent follower of Bhagvad Gita.
Vice President – Marketing
Driven by creativity and passion to enhance the brand experience, Sumit is responsible for leading the marketing, advertising, research and communication initiatives for the organization. He has played an active role in spearheading various brand building and product marketing efforts to lead the brand on a high growth trajectory.
Prior to this, Sumit honed his skills at Info Edge India Ltd, serving as its Associate Vice President, Marketing, where he undertook strategic marketing operations for 99acres.com.
Sumit earned his PGDM from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore after completing B. Tech from Punjab Engineering College. He is an avid reader, leadership and management being his favorite subjects.
National Head – Acquisition
Vikas heads the Client Acquisition division at IndiaMART. In the last few years, Vikas has spent a lot of time in building long-term relationships with the clients, improving monetization and customer retention..
Vikas joined the company in 1999. In his previous roles within the company, he had been the brain behind the successful implementation and usability of various technologies in the organization, apart from being instrumental in driving the Lead Generation business, Customer Operations & production processes, as well as leading quality management initiatives.
Post his B.Tech. in Computer Technology, Vikas earned his MBA from IIT Delhi. He has also completed a Leadership Program from INSEAD Business School. His interests include reading and travelling.
