Two strong willed men, with an ambition to excel, Sanjay Prajapati and Mahendra Singh Rawal, started a business venture together to rule the industry of raw cashews. “Before starting the business, we were working in Punjab where we met and decided to start a venture in raw cashew. Irrespective of the number of cashew plants, there was always a shortage of raw cashews”, recalls Sanjay, Partner, Akshar Cashew Industries.” Today Akshar Cashew has about 70-80 plants of its own”, he adds.

Flight to Success

Gradually, Akshar Cashew Industries grew to a substantial size and today is one of the leading manufacturers of premium quality raw cashew material. “We run a large business of cashews in Gujarat, close to 10,000-12,000 tonnes, which is increasing every consecutive year. When we started the business, we produced approximately 100-200 tonnes and today we have reached a milestone at 10,000 tonnes. In Gujarat we have created a stronghold and have customers from all over the country including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Odisha.”
