Woman Entrepreneur Goes Global with IndiaMART Leaders of Tomorrow

New Delhi, 18th June, 2013: Trust IndiaMART Leaders of Tomorrow Awards to give wings to entrepreneurs. After recognizing India’s best SMEs, IndiaMART Leaders of Tomorrow Awards 2012 rewarded the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Ms. Priyanka Gupta, Executive Director, MPIL Steel Structures Ltd. with an opportunity to attend an exclusive Summer Executive Education Course on Challenger Strategies for Building Businesses & Brands at Michigan Ross School of Business in Hong Kong recently.

Speaking on this, Mr. Dinesh Agarwal, Founder & CEO, IndiaMART.com, said, “IndiaMART Leaders of Tomorrow Awards were conceptualized to recognize the best in MSME industry. Along the way we evolved the idea into exposing these amazing entrepreneurs to world’s best practices and strategies by making them network with their counterparts from across the globe at various international business schools. We are extremely delighted to see that Ms. Priyanka Gupta attended the first program at Michigan Ross School of Business and returned with key learnings which could help her enterprise grow to the next level.”

After returning from Hong Kong, Ms. Priyanka Gupta, Executive Director, MPIL Steel Structures Ltd., said, “I am so very thankful to IndiaMART for this opportunity… The course was attended by a diverse group of professionals (we were 8 of us from India, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and Brazil) from different industries and backgrounds. The material was current and eye-opening, bringing us to realise, and deconstruct the challenges of building brands in today’s convergent, flat world. The readings and materials were full of contemporary, relevant experiences. The professor spent a great deal of time to understand every student’s background and nature of business. Then he ensured that each model and concept was applied and that we were pushed to explore actual deliverables that could help us reap better margins from our products and services.

I have returned with a lot of great reading materials and a very long TO-DO list inspired by everything I learnt during the course.”

Ms. Gupta will also be a part of the Indian delegation at World Economic Forum’s Davos Conference in China this September.
