GSA Industries’ Power-ful Spell of Success

It was conceived as the dream project by Mr. O. P. Saini who tested the shores of entrepreneurship by starting his business named GSA Industries. Today, his legacy is being carried forward by his son Mr. Gaurav Saini who is currently serving as the Managing Director of the company. He shares his journey’s achievements and challenges. “Our company manufactures control transformers, industrial battery chargers and DC power supplier. This is our family business and it was started by my father. Saini. Later we added different companies under this umbrella and today we have 3 companies which are working simultaneously,” says Mr. Saini.

In these years, the company has managed to take huge strides in the sector and created a place for itself in a fierce and competitive market. “We have 2 units – 1 in Delhi and 1 in Haryana. Also we have a retail outlet in Ajemeri Gate, Delhi 6. We have a total employee strength of 25 and around 5000 sq. ft. of production area. We strive to give the best quality and also look to set a trend in the industry,” says Mr. Saini. The company has been certified with ISO 9001:2008, CE NSIC and CPIN for its superior quality.

Steely Resolve
The success that the company enjoys today was achieved despite facing challenges in the initial stages of establishing the company, says Mr. Saini. He shares, “When we started we faced lot of challenges regarding space for setting up production unit. Also, we had no clue about marketing our products which was a major challenge at that point of time.”

But, these obstacles only made Mr. Saini have a positive outlook for the future. This helped them to be the first to develop special type of transformers. These have also been customised as per the requirement of its clients.

“We supply our products to various government organisations, MNCs and various educational institutions like IIT Delhi, NTPC SAIL, and Indian Railways, private companies like Snider Electrics, Yaskawa Robotics India Ltd.,” says Mr. Saini. Their presence online has also helped them to capitalise on opportunities present in other foreign markets.

An association of more than 4 years between GSA and has helped Mr. Saini grow his business manifold. “We got in touch with in 2007. Its been 4 years now. Their marketing approach has helped us to get more queries and business worldwide. We supply our products in China, Indonesia and African sub-continent,” he says.
