‘Protect and improve quality of life.’ This is a noble thought that guided Mr. Rahul Gupta to establish quality control laboratory in New Delhi which is popular as Sigma Test & Research Centre today.
“As you know Sigma Test was started as a testing laboratory in the field of building material, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and water. Here in this division, we are providing complete 360 degree solution to industries who wants to set up an in-house laboratory for their quality control,”, says Mr. Gupta, the CEO of the company.
Rising Beyond Challenges
Changing perception and opinion require a lot of efforts and this is something Mr. Gupta fought to achieve. The products that he wanted to make and offer to his clients were not seen as an essential commodity by his target audience. “The basic challenge we faced for this was awareness. We saw that people were not aware of quality control. They did not feel the need for it and were willing to continue with the same quality (Jaisa chal raha hai chalne do),”, says Mr. Gupta.

He was able to kill two birds with one stone by going online and registering with IndiaMART.com. He not only found acceptance and a major market for his products but could also see the geographical boundaries disappearing – all on internet. “We are members since 2009. The progress that the company has witnessed has become a stepping stone to more success. Recently, Mr. Gupta inaugurated a new division under SGM Lab Solutions which provides one-stop solution to their clients for in-house quality control. This is just the beginning for him!
