A heavy whiff of fragrance welcomes you when you enter the premises spread across 10,000 sq feet area. The office is filled with the perfume of incense sticks waiting to be packed and stacked for delivery. The entire process from manufacturing to packaging is overlooked by 150 skilled workers. The company in question is Raj Fragrance.

An Aromatic Journey
Established in 1993, Raj Fragrance is now headed by Mr. Srinath, a third generation entrepreneur. He says, “We are a small manufacturing unit under SSI. We have 150 employees and we cater to 30 different countries worldwide.”

Being in a labor intensive industry, the company has its fair share of challenges. “Because there is no mechanisation in our industry, everything is done manually. Right from the hurling till the packaging and dispatch.” says Mr. Srinath.

Despite being a small company, Raj Fragrance has managed to let its aroma reach different parts of the world. As part of its marketing strategy, the company has taken help of the online medium, informs Mr. Srinath, “We being a very small company from the SSI sector, we use web portal like IndiaMART.com to promote out business worldwide.”

He continues, “Its not only the buyers that they have got us. They have found lot of suppliers for our raw material requirement. And we could identify shipping facilities through them. We have also found good quality raw material through these suppliers.”
