New Delhi, 9th September, 2011: With massive nominations from India’s myriad Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at the close of registrations, ET NOW-IndiaMART Leaders of Tomorrow Awards 2011 are well on their way to celebrate their aspirations and successes in the coming months. In the second year, the pre-eminent business Awards have seen more than double nominations from MSMEs as compared to its launch year. This year the nominations stand at a phenomenal figure of over 50,000. This displays the trust and zeal MSMEs have built towards these Awards and sets a stage for grander success.
With the nominations phase over, these Awards enter the next round of evaluation of these entries for which Ernst and Young has been roped in.

Being the process validation advisors for these Awards, EY will take into account key financial ratios to shortlist top 70 companies per category. Out of these, the screening jury will shortlist top 5 companies in every category. To make it easy for the nominees, the screening jury rounds will be scheduled in four cities across the country. Major categories include manufacturing consisting of Textile, Apparel & accessories, Chemicals and petrochemicals, Auto components, FMCG & consumer durables, Food and agri products, Engineering products, Pharmaceuticals & medical, Home decor and handicrafts and Electrical & electronics; Service comprising of Transport & logistics, IT / ITES-BPO / VAS, Travel & hospitality, Healthcare & biotech and Special Recognition Awards consisting of Woman Entrepreneur of the Year and Company/SME of the Year.
The Awards provide a unique medium to Indian SMEs to win nation-wide recognition for their outstanding commitment and success in respective fields.
