IndiaMART bags top place at AWS Hackathon on Agentic AI held in Delhi

IndiaMART InterMESH Limited, India’s largest online B2B marketplace, bagged the first position in AWS Hackathon on Agentic AI, held in Delhi, India. Organised from June 9-11, 2025, the 3-day hackathon brought together top talent across sectors to solve real-world challenges and build powerful solutions through collaboration, innovation, and experimentation. The hackathon saw 90+ participants, 20+ teams, and 3 days of innovation, evaluated by an esteemed 5-jury panel.

The 3-day hackathon focused on maximising learning, innovation, networking, and skill enhancement, with the first day helping participants with intensive AWS training and agentic AI workshops, ensuring teams were equipped with the latest tools and technologies. The second day of the event focused on team formation and use-case selection, wherein participants were assigned mentors and required to choose problem statements across various industry domains with jury approval. On the final day, teams deployed their solutions, presented them to the jury panel, leading to the declaration of three final winners.

A team of five innovators at IndiaMART – Paras Lehana, Abhinav Kaushik, Ashutosh Singh, Ayush Gupta, and Sourabh Ojha, furthered IndiaMART’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve real-world business challenges. The victory is a testament to IndiaMART’s innovation capabilities and how the organisation continues to put its best foot forward when it comes to building solutions with customer eccentricity at its core.

Workshops hosted around AI & Data-Driven Enhancements, Cloud & Scalability, Real-Time Analytics & Automation, modernising of applications through Kubernetes & Docker, React and Node.js, have helped IndiaMARTians enhance their tech prowess and gain exposure on the latest AI/ML technologies. Additionally, IndiaMARTians also adopt Self-paced research on new technologies such as Graph Databases, CI-CD pipelines, AI-ML, etc. to perform Proof of Concept (POC) and gain industry tech certifications like SPOC, SMC, Google certifications, ISTQB – among others.

From an overall learning and development standpoint, IndiaMART runs programmes such iLeap, D.E.A.L. (Drop Everything and Learn), IM Saksham, IM Elevate, and mandatory job rotations to help employees gain cross-tech experience and sharpen their skills on the job. Under the iLeap policy, employees can opt for higher education or certified courses in any specialization at the institute of their choice, with IndiaMART ensuring partial reimbursement of the course fee upon completion. To date, more than 1200 IndiaMARTians have already enrolled in the programme, with 230+ average requests received every year.
