IndiaMART highlights the extensive usage of its mobile platform through its new brand Campaign

With IndiaMART Mobile App crossing 2 million downloads, Campaign emphasises on the ease of buying on IndiaMART through mobile. Highlights the range of products available across 50 industries

New Delhi, June 19, 2015:  Pivoted toward positioning IndiaMART as the one-stop-shop for all buyers, IndiaMART, India’s largest online marketplace, announced the next phase of its brand campaign on an integrated platform – combining TV, online display and social media. The campaign takes a lead on IndiaMART’s core motto ‘Kaam Yahin Banta Hai’, looking to fulfill specific requirements of Buyers’ through their mobile platform.

The TVCs showcase Brand Ambassador Irrfan Khan specifying the unique requirements of a buyer which are gratified at IndiaMART. The ad iterates that IndiMART answers to every buyer’s need of sourcing a variety of products across multiple categories ranging from Furnishings, Handicrafts, Jewellery, Fashion Accessories, Sports goods, etc. The campaign holistically highlights how IndiaMART mobile platform (Mobile site and App) is conveniently designed for the buyers, who could now easily check the seller listings and contact sellers using their mobile phones anytime and from anywhere.

According to Sumit Bedi, Vice President – Marketing, IndiaMART, “There is no denying the fact that proliferation of smart phones has greatly influenced consumer buying behavior. With 41% of the overall e-commerce transactions in the country being conducted via mobile phones, the medium offers an immense potential. Over the last few years, IndiaMART has dedicatedly focused on strengthening its mobile offering (m.indiamart.com and mobile app), which has led to an increased productivity for our users. We see relatively higher engagement on our mobile platform vs desktop. Thus, with this campaign, we wish to encourage users to download the IndiaMART app or log on to our mobile site through their mobile phones for all their buying needs, even while they are on the move.”

Poised at a whopping 65% and growing at an exponential pace, India leads the way in internet usage on mobile in the world. Riding on this strong momentum, IndiaMART Mobile App has witnessed over 2 million downloads across Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows platforms, contributing significantly to the overall traffic on IndiaMART. The mobile site and app enable users to easily search for reliable suppliers in their preferred location.
