This is the ideology and vision the owners of Birkan Engineering had, when they started the business of Safety Glass manufacturing.

We are the leading manufacturer in the Glass Industry. Our vision is – Providing Safety beyond Imagination, through innovation and technology” says Robin Mukesh, Executive Director of the company. “To keep you safe, we make the glass safer, because there is no cost to human life”, he adds. They made safety their first priority and always put their customers first. Perhaps, that is the reason they garnered constant support from the market, thereby developing a strong goodwill.

Company Inception

“I started this company in the year 2000 with a very small setup. At that time, there were hardly any facilities or technology available. In fact, the use of glass in the country was also minimum” says Mukesh Gupta, Managing Director, Birkan Engineering Industries. It was a major concern for the company and acted as a  roadblock in their road to success. However, they converted this challenge into an opportunity and established the company which is worthy of its stature.

“ When we started in the year 2000, Indian Railways was our only customer. And in 2014,  we have approximately 300 clients. Earlier, we used to fulfill only 5% of the total glass requirement of Indian Railways. But, in the year 2014, we were supplying almost 30-40% of their total glass requirement.” Mukesh Gupta adds.

The company is now witnessing unparalleled success, as the number of clients has gradually increased. Apart from Indian Railways, their main clients are CPWD, DMRC, NDMC, Victora Tools, etc.

Ecstatic about the consistent growth of his company, he credits the success to IndiaMART who has been a part and parcel of their journey so far. Having upgraded to the maximiser plan, they have broadened the scope for exploring more opportunities and opened the possibility of indulging into more avenues.

“The turnover of our company has increased 10 times in 10 years” says Apoorva Gupta, Finance head of Birkan Engineering Industries. She lauds IndiaMART’s efforts in playing a considerable and consistent role in facilitating the growth of their company.
