Delhi Metro rolls out first fully advertisement-wrapped train

ET Metro Screen BrandingNEW DELHI: Delhi Metro today rolled out its first fully advertisement-wrapped train on the Yellow Line route spanning Jahangirpuri to HUDA City Centre.

The metro train wrap, rolled out by e-commerce firm ‘IndiaMART’, featured Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan as its brand ambassador.

Earlier, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had inducted the first-ever train with advertisements wrapped on its exterior on Dwarka-Vaishali route of Blue Line that is Line 3/4

Approximately 15 such trains will be inducted, initially with seven trains on Line 2 from Jahangirpuri – HUDA City Centre and eight trains on Line 3/4 which are the busiest lines of the metro network.

Currently only six coach trains are being wrapped. To augment the non-operational revenues of DMRC through advertisements, the Delhi Metro has awarded exclusive advertising rights for displaying advertising materials including pictures, printed material, electric/electronic media, smart ..
