Ltd. which was started in 1996. It has now grown up to become a private limited company. We had started this business with selling of pool chemicals and now we are offering swimming pool and spa at a very good quality at a very good price,” says Mr. Singal.

Marketing a Challenge
The determination possessed by Mr. Singal played a crucial role in helping him wade through difficult waters, but marketing proved to be a different ball game. He says, “Marketing is an unknown thing for me. As far as the finance is concerned, as it is my family business, I can arrange the things. For marketing, it is a big challenge for me. I do not know my customers as well as I do not know how to market the products.”

Quality is Competition
My main competitors are the multinational companies which are selling pool products in the Indian market. I have started selling products which are equivalent to the multinational companies and at a very good price that is so much lower than the multinational companies. I have sourced the products from all over the world for a best good quality and can provide the products at a very economical price to my Indian customers.

New Age Marketing
“We market our products by print media but now in the age of internet we have moved to the internet. We have various websites for marketing our products. We are also participating in trade shows,” says Mr. Singal.

With marketing becoming a major concern for Mr. Singal, the internet has resolved all his queries. He shares “Internet is the most important marketing tool in this era. We have a very good presence on the internet through our websites. Now we are moving to a mobile friendly website so that we can market our products more efficiently.”

With businesses increasingly using the online medium to reach out to clients, Mr. Singal joined IndiaMART.com to leverage advantage of the same. “IndiaMART.com helped me reach out to clients present in far corners of the country. “Our business has gown multifold in the last few years due to the internet and due to our reach to our customers. Moreover, we have started the new range of products which are not easily available in the Indian market. We have started pool heating, pool cover and automation of the swimming pool items. This has also added good sales in our business,” concludes Mr. Singal.
