“I am Suresh Narayan Goyal. I started my business with the name of Girish Radio Corporation and manufactured electronics wire end cables. Our products are used in signal and sound instruments without which no electronics instrument can work,” says Mr. Goyal, Owner of the company.

Shaky Start Leads to Firm Foundation
Today the company stands firmly with a turnover of around Rs.10 crore and a staff of 14-15 people including the management. But when Mr. Goyal started off, he was faced with capital crunch. “When I started the business, the biggest challenge in front of me was capital because I had a very small capital with me. As the business started growing, I started facing a lot of competition because of which we had to compete with known standard material, known standard quality and duplication of our products,” says Mr. Goyal.

Quality Kills Competition
For Mr. Goyal he is his own competition. He says, “As of today, I do not consider anyone as competition because once anyone uses our products he will keep coming back to us because of the quality that we offer.”

Internet – Business Tool for Growth
The internet has facilitated innumerable businesses with easy to use options of conducting business. Similar is the case with Girish Radio Corporation. “We use the internet to propel our business because of which we have got clients from across India and outside. This has helped our company expand further,” says Mr. Goyal.

The internet also connected Girish Radio with IndiaMART.com which became a strong association of five years. “We got to know about IndiaMART.com through the internet and we have been associated with them for the past five years. Ever since we joined IndiaMART.com, we have been connected to very good customers across India and abroad and have also been given respite from those who have been copying our products,” says Mr. Goyal.

Speeding Growth
Since the past few years, Mr. Goyal has witnessed accelerated growth for his business. He says, “In the past five to six years, our business has doubled and our employee strength has also increased. We are now in direct contact with our customers.”
