IndiaMART launches business forum for SMEs

NEW DELHI, INDIA: IndiaMART.com, an online B2B marketplace, on Wednesday announced that it has partnered with ZEE Business, a business news channel, to launch ‘IndiaMART Emerging Business Forum’, a series of corporate events, for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The forum aims to cover a wide range of topics under Finance, Marketing, HR, Government Policies, Sales, Administration, ICT tools etc. with a view to provide practical solutions to various problems and difficulties faced by Indian SMEs in these areas, said a press release.

The series will kick start with its first event in Ahmedabad on 10th November, 2011, which will focus on ‘Driving Growth Through Innovation’ for SMEs.

Spearheading the new initiative for SMEs, Dinesh Agarwal, founder and CEO, IndiaMART.com, said, “This alliance with ZEE Business is to prepare SMEs for their next level of growth. We see this series as an interactive and empowering platform for them where industry think tanks and ambitious entrepreneurs will come together to discuss problems and explore innovative solutions.”

The first event will have eminent business personalities, policy advisors and subject experts as panelists. The event will hit the grounds in 12 more cities including Ludhiana, Noida, Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Surat, Hyderabad, Agra and Kolkata, each being shot and aired on ZEE Business as part of an exclusive show of 1 hour duration starting in December this year.

This will enable the forum to extend its reach to a larger share of SMEs. The grand finale of this series is to be held in New Delhi which will be telecast on ZEE Business.
