IndiaMART adopts Google Apps

IndiaMART has leveraged Google applications to accelerate communication and collaboration within the organizational processes. The search and application giant is optimistic about cloud adoption and serves close to 100,000 businesses in the country. In telecom space, Tata Communications has already collaborated with Google.

Anil Sabharwal, product manager– Enterprise, Google Docs, said that there is a tremendous momentum in cloud adoption in enterprise segment as there are several benefits that include cost-effectiveness, security and reliability. The company is banking high on enterprise sector, and helped IndiaMart to migrate on Google Apps.

Amit Jain, VP, Business Alliances, IndiaMART, said that they see Google Apps as a major facilitator to their business activities and have adopted after experimenting with it for 4-5 months. The company is also expected to deploy more application after careful analysis and training from Google.

IndiaMART has had several challenges that include spam, sharing and collaboration and accessibility of data. “We are expecting that Google Apps will enable us to block threats like spam and virus, reduce on-site complexity and increase productivity,” he said.
