Leaving No Dreams Behind: IndiaMART Transforms Sadat Inter College

In the quiet town of Nanpara in the Bahraich district, a remarkable transformation is taking place at Sadat Inter College. Established in 1937, this institution has witnessed generations of students pass through its doors. Like many educational institutions in rural India, Sadat Inter College also faced infrastructural challenges that hindered the learning environment.

BEFORE:

Recognizing the crucial role education plays in shaping the future, IndiaMART stepped forward to make a tangible difference. Beyond mere donations, the company ensured a complete overhaul, aimed at creating a conducive and empowering space for students. Once a school with only 300 students now welcomes over 1,000 learners daily, a threefold increase in attendance, owing to improved infrastructure and functional spaces making the school a beacon of hope for aspiring students.

AFTER:

The revitalized infrastructure included a revamp of classrooms, providing a more engaging and comfortable learning atmosphere to students. Construction of separate, gendered washrooms, a fundamental necessity that is often overlooked. Beyond classrooms and essentials, the team also fixed the ceiling of the entire school, painted the entire building, and provided desks. Students now walk through its gates with newfound pride and hope, embodying the physical transformation of their learning environment. The change is not just visible in numbers, it’s felt in the energy of students who now walk in with pride and hope.

Education – The Great Enabler, the core of IndiaMART’s CSR vision, focuses on getting every child, especially from underprivileged backgrounds, to benefit from formal education. IndiaMART’s involvement with Sadat Inter College states how corporate social responsibility can create meaningful and lasting change at the grassroots level, if taken seriously.
