Lotus Industries Redefines Success

One of the most essential parts of a house is a kitchen. With increasing disposable incomes, more and more people have begun to invest in modular kitchens, completely moving away from the traditional rasois. Looking at this trend, many new entrants have entered the field and are giving local players a run for their money.

Lotus Kitchen is one company that has firmly stood its ground and has been offering its clients contemporary kitchen designs perfectly blended with aesthetics and convenience since 2000. Mr. Rajender Gupta & Mr. Dinesh Jain, Partners, have been successfully running the company since its inception.

“Our company is basically into kitchen solutions,” says Mr. Jain. “We started the company with the sole focus on offering sink products. From 2003-04, we entered into modular sinks, then chimneys, hobs and now we are known for offering complete modular kitchens.”

Together they have created a brand that is well-recognised in the market. “We have been awarded ISI Certification from Bureau of Indian Standard and have been placed as the Number 1 brand in India last year by 4Ps,” proudly shares Mr. Gupta. On competition and industry growth, Mr. Jain shares his perspective, “Its a stiff competition between all the companies. But the market is growing very fast. With a rapidly growing infrastructure sector, the demand for quality products is giving rise to fierce competition.” He further adds, “The industry is reporting good growth on account of boom in infrastructure which is the main concern in India. Therefore, there is good scope in the industry.”

Thanks to companies like Lotus Kitchen who have found a perfect marketing tool in the online medium, consumers have a variety of options to choose from. “With IndiaMART.com we have been able to place ourselves before the end consumers also,” says, Mr. Gupta. Supporting his views, Mr. Jain adds that IndiaMART.com has helped them in spreading their name on a global level and all over India as well.

Before signing off, the owners share a word of advice for entrepreneurs. Mr. Gupta says, “Young entrepreneurs must also go for web based technologies. They must look for internet solutions.”
